This is the site of the Department of Chemical Biology, within the Stratingh Institute for Chemistry at the University of Groningen. The four research groups the department is composed of are intertwined, and in total around thirty PhD students, postdocs, undergrads and guest researchers work in the fields of natural product synthesis, homogenous catalysis, medicinal chemistry, dynamic combinatorial chemistry, activity-based protein profiling, and carbohydrate chemistry.

The department, headed by Prof. Dr. A. J. Minnaard, is associated to the Groningen Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology Institute (GBB) and the Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials (ZIAM), both at the university of Groningen, and member of the Netherlands Research School of Chemical Biology (NRSCB).

We are located at the “Linnaeusborg”, building for Life Sciences. See: http://www.rug.nl/fwn/organization/locaties/linnaeusborg/
